My name is Robbo and I wish to get involved in the TTRPG communities a bit more in 2023. I initially set up this blog in the pandemic to be more dedicated to D&D 5e content but with the changes to the OGL that WotC seem to be bringing in, I'm trying to open myself up more to other TTRPGS. For years I've encouraged my friends to try other systems and now, with a little more fire in my step, 2023 will be where I start to push on that a bit harder. All of my homebrew content going forward will be looking primarily at the Pathfinder 2nd Edition system, and other systems as I get more involved in them. I'm primarily looking to get involved in PtbA games and the Cypher System. But a bit about Robbo and where you can find me and my current content.

I am a Creative Writing and English Literature graduate, based in the U.K. who has wistfully looked at his writing and TTRPGs hobbies in vague hopes to turn it into his main profession for a good few years. However my house, my wonderful partner, and my adorable cat are all things that require a steady income so I'm currently dipping my feet in and getting comfy to get to know you all.

This is Baby, sat on my laptop, and my constant distraction whenever I try to do any work in my freetime. She is very cute, though.
The Larp Stuff
I currently write plot for Legendary Larp, who currently run a number of Larp games each year.
We run a variety of different larps and they are organised by my partner.
We Are Legends - A Zombie Horror survival larp. Inspiration is taken from I Am Legend, the Last of Us, and Left 4 Dead to create a post apocalyptic experience where the players create a character to survive in a dystopian future desperately trying to find a cure for the virus that causes their woes.
Everyone gets their own unique skill to deal with in Ruined Britain and tackle the infected in their own way. We've run 3 successful events so far, and run our fourth this year in March.

The Flamel Academy - A school for Magi.where players can join the student body or the faculty in this magic-based game exploring the still emerging magical world. I wrote a 300+ page book as a prop for this larp and we've only ever run one event. A bestiary of all the magical creatures of the Flamel Academy - including lore on the Feywild, the Demonic Underworld, and Chimeras.
The school welcome dance definitely went well, you can tell by the concerned looks on their faces.

Other Assorted Games - Alongside plans to run future games, we plan to run some themed oneshots in the future. Including horror based games, explorations into a reimagined world of the Fae, parties where absolutely nothing will go wrong, we swear, and more.

The TTRPG stuff
I picked up Werewolf the Forsaken as well as the "Fey Corgi" 4e supplement in a Forbidden Planet when I was a teenager and it opened me up to the world of TTRPGs and my life would change forever. I went on to DM my first D&D game, 4th edition, with some friends of mine before it fizzled out over the years as they sometimes do.
Since then I explored the world of TTRPGs and fell in love with so many systems. Unfortunately, we live in a world of so many systems, not enough time.
5th Edition D&D came out and I leaned into that HARD. Eventually creating my own homebrew content for the system and writing for others, some of which you can find on my DMsGuild here.

The main one I did was Tasha's Heavy Crockpot of Bits and Bobs which was our first proper venture into making a quality pdf product. We made some choices, some mistakes, but it is a solid product full of content.
The second main project we did was Franc and Kenzie's Tradesfolk Compendium which was a bit of a love letter to my top supporters, and a creation made to help smaller creators get involved in the TTRPG world.
The idea was basing NPCs, subclasses and items on the everyday person of your fantasy worlds and included a Candlemaker Wizard, and a Fisherman Druid permanently Wildshaped into an Otter.
I also over the 2020 lockdown wrote a number of issues of Arcane Script alongside Heavy Waite Gaming. This was one issue a month, totalling over 350 pages of 5e content over a year exploring the homebrew world of Colossus, the mind baby of Adrian Waite and his family and friends. We ran a number of charity events alongside Heavy Waite Gaming raising a lot of money for Mermaids and the Rainbow Trust. Now, unfortunately, in 2023 there's been a bit of an upheaval with Wizards of the Coast and the OGL and so I'm looking to creatively distance myself from these new policies and focus on Pathfinder 2nd Edition. I have fallen in love with the content of the Mwangi Expanse and The Impossible Lands and look immensely forward to dipping my toes into this community.
I am also looking at the Cypher System and PBTA games and exploring them thoroughly with their respective communities. Finally, I want to use my platform, no matter how small, to raise up other creators. I'll be offering reviews on products in the TTRPG sphere that I enjoy. I'll still be unbiased and fair, but encourage you into looking at products that I enjoy and give you the key points to why you might enjoy them too. I will never ask for free copies of work, but if you want to send me anything to look at then please feel free.
That's me, I hope you enjoy my content and stick around. I'm also keen to get involved in projects so if you want samples of my work then please feel free to contact me.
